What to expect as a Benchmark Audience Member
APRIL 8, 2023 UPDATE: Benchmark Theatre will be returning to concession sales as well as allowing concessions into the theatre during the performances. We highly encourage masks, however, following suite with The City of Lakewood and Jefferson County Public Health’s update and ended mask mandate (Feb. 11, 2023), we are no longer requiring masks. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and make adjustments to our protocols and practices as things continue to evolve, but here are a few things we can tell you now about what to expect as an audience member:
Wear your mask if you feel more comfortable to do so: In accordance with the City of Lakewood’s mask updates for indoor businesses and events, patrons are encouraged to wear face masks while inside the theatre space though it is no longer a requirement.
Food and beverage will be permitted in the lobby and theatre.
Please re-imagine greetings and social contact: We are all very much looking forward to warmly greeting and interacting with each other, but please consider alternatives to traditional greetings, and be mindful of fellow patrons who might be less comfortable than you with close contact or sharing spaces.
Be mindful of your own health: If you or someone you’ve had close contact with has recently tested positive for COVID-19 or hasn’t been feeling well for any reason, please stay home. We will gladly offer refunds or ticket transfers to anyone who has to cancel for this reason.
Benchmark has implemented increased sanitization practices: In addition to vaccination, negative COVID-19 test, and masks, Benchmark is committed to the following sanitization practices:
All Benchmark staff will be vaccinated.
All common areas will be cleaned and sanitized immediately before every show, with high-traffic areas being sanitized more frequently. This includes chair arm rests, railings, and common area surfaces.
Hand-sanitizing stations will be available throughout the space.
"Touch free" payment options will be provided, and all food and beverage will be served in disposable, single serving packaging and containers.
